Why Are These Models All IWO Watches, But The Model And Price Are Different?

IWO products boast great functionality and trendy designs at very affordable prices. If you are planning to buy an IWO Smartwatch, the number of models available can be a bit overwhelming. This is because there is an IWO smartwatch to fit every need, taste, and pocket.

The first thing to know is that the IWO smartwatch brand has three smartwatch series. They are:

  1. IWO Series
  2. IWO Fit Series
  3. IWO Watchphone Series

IWO SERIES:  The IWO series includes the original full line of IWO Smartwatches, its price ranges from $20 to $45.

The smartwatches in this series all have a scroll crown (i.e. a rotary button) and a side button. The side button is its power button and the scrolling crown is the control menu.

Depending on the price, they use different charging methods and case materials.

The examples of smartwatch models in the IWO series are:

The table above provides a comparison of the IWO series.

IWO FIT SERIES

The examples of smartwatch models in the IWO Fit series are:

The table above provides a comparison of the IWO FIT series.

The IWO Watchphone series’ prices range from $48 to $100. It comes with a sim card slot that supports a 2G/3G/4G network. This allows for fast speed and a reliable internet connection. Meaning that you can use the smartwatch as a separate smartphone.

It gives you a mini smartphone experience and is conveniently strapped to your wrist. The Watchphone series use a USB Magnetic charger and support GPS location (well, except for the IWO 9).

Another interesting thing to note is that both the IWO 19 and IWO 28 have cameras. The IWO 28 even has a Face ID feature, isn’t that neat? The model numbers currently available are IWO 9, IWO 20, IWO 19, IWO 28.

Why Are The Prices For IWO Smartwatches Different?

Prices vary based on the materials and components used to make these smartwatches. As well as the product’s configuration. The factors that affect the product’s price are:

  • The Motherboard and Battery life: IWO smartwatch uses two chips, MediaTek and OnMicro.  The main use of MediaTek MTK 2503 and MTK 2502. The MTK2503 motherboard is required for GPS function. Thus for every smartwatch that supports the GPS function, the MTK2503 motherboard is used.

The MTK motherboard is mostly used for mobile phones so that they can work relatively stable. But, its power consumption is high, so the working time of MTK motherboard watches is generally 1-2 days.

However, some IWO Smartwatches use HS6621 of OnMicro motherboards. The main advantage of an HS6621 motherboard is its low power consumption. HS6621 watches have a working time of about 7 days.

  • The type of material used for the watch shell: There are three types of materials used in making the watch shells. IWO uses aluminum alloy, zinc alloy, and plastic materials for their watch shells.

From the cost point of view, aluminum alloys are more expensive than zinc alloys. And zinc alloy is pricier than plastic casings.

  • The charging method: There are two types of charging methods available. They are wireless charging and USB magnetic Charge.

From a cost point of view, the Wireless charging type is more expensive than USB Magnetic Charge.

  • The memory capacity: There are generally two configurations of memory. They are ROM 128 MB + RAM 64MB and  ROM 256MB + RAM 64MB. The larger the memory capacity, the higher the cost.
  • The screen size: It uses an IPS screen, the size ranges from 1.54 to 1.78 inches. The larger the size of the screen, the higher the cost.

Watch screen size 1.78 inch

  • Strap buttons: There are strap replacement buttons on the back of the watch. Those smartwatches with strap buttons cost more than watches without the buttons.

With strap buttons

  • The packaging material: Coated paper is the packaging material for the boxes. The coated paper comes in different weights.

The higher the weight of coated paper, the higher the cost. Also, different processes such as UV, bronzing, frosting, and varnish determine the cost.

What Is The Difference Between The IWO Smartwatch Model Names?

Why IWO 14, IWO 14 MLite, IWO 14 Pro Lite, IWO 13 Lite,  models are also referred to as W26, W46, W56, FK78, FK88, HW12, HW22, HW33?

The different model names can be confusing for a lot of people. Some customers have sent inquiries about the different names for some models. And some have wondered if it means it could be fake.

To avoid any further confusion, the simple answer is:

The model names W26, W56, W46, FK78, FK88, HW12, HW22, etc. are the internal names from the factory.

While the use of “IWO” to name the smartwatch models is the international common name. So in the international marketplace, you will see the models named IWO 14, IWO 14 Pro/M Lite, IWO 13, IWO 13 Lite, IWO 14 Pro, etc.
